Oh yeah, just remembered another bug - when you kick the ball into the goal it sometimes goes through the net by a couple of feet then back in again (damn, so many bugs that I can't even remember them all!). Oh yeah and a lot of the players ages are wrong too - Teddy Sheringham aged 21? I think not!Īll this is a real shame as there are significant improvements to the gameplay and this game could have been great. If all that isn't bad enough, the textures are worse than FIFA '05, goals are sometimes not counted even if they go completely over the line, there are mistakes in team line-ups and kit designs/colours, and the game inexplicably stutters like hell on certain systems (even those with high specs). If you are lucky enough to have a mouse, keyboard, AND gamepad combo that work with the game, none of the controller mappings are saved, so you have to go through the pain in ass process of setting up your controls EVERY SINGLE TIME you start the game. There also appear to be massive problems with some 'supported' Thrustmaster devices. Not only that, but some of the officially supported controllers don't work either! Loads of ppl are complaining that the 'C' shoot button on the logitech pads don't work. And let me tell anyone who hasn't played FIFA before that it's just not worth attempting to play without the ability to trick your opponent - it's damn near impossible to get past them in a lot of situations without. WTF? surely they could have spent a little time and effort ensuring the game works with the most basic of input devices?Ī large amount of gamepads don't work with the game either, most often causing problems with the right analogue 'trick-stick'.
It looks very much like this game was just pushed through to retail before it had been bug tested, it's actually more like a beta (if not an alpha)!įor a start, there are major issues with a lot of usb keyboards and mice which cause the menus to scroll out of control, and the only way to fix this is to unplug/disable said devices.
